Jared Polis Governor of Colorado
Honoring Religious Freedom in Colorado
Keynote Address by Governor Jared Polis at the State Capitol

Jared Polis has served as the 43rd Governor of Colorado since 2019, following service in the U.S. Congress and on the Colorado State Board of Education.

Governor Polis has promoted a “Colorado for All” approach that affirms every person’s freedom to worship—or not worship—according to their conscience. His administration has also worked to combat rising antisemitism and strengthen security for houses of worship. At this event, he will share his perspective on protecting religious liberty while fostering dignity and respect for all.
Reflecting on the Past, Protecting the Future of Religious Liberty
As our nation approaches its 250th anniversary, this event brings together Colorado’s civic and community leaders to celebrate one of America’s most defining principles—the freedom of conscience. The program will explore how religious liberty helped shape the nation and why protecting it remains essential for the future. Speakers from diverse faith traditions and political perspectives will highlight the shared responsibility to defend every person’s right to believe, worship, or not worship according to their conscience.
